The Regional Planning manager at work knows a shortcut along the East Coast bay. He leads me and my co-worker across the water, stepping carefully. I follow and marvel at how easy it is—how come everyone doesn't walk on water? The place is swimming with tourists but he takes us to the best seafood place in town; only the locals know it.
