Fresh Eyes for Dinner

Once upon a time there was a little boy who wanted to buy himself a new toy. Unfortunately, the little boy was too young to get much of an allowance, and what he got he usually spent very quickly. So the little boy decided he would have to find some way to earn some money. All of the little boy's friends thought he was crazy, of course, for who wants to earn money when you can just take somebody else's money? But the little boy was quite adamant and off he went in search of a job.

First, the little boy went to the local supermarket to see if he could be a box boy. "We don't have box boys anymore," said the manager. "They kept hitting on the lady customers, who complained, so we had to get rid of them all. Why don't you get a paper route?" So the little boy went to the local newspaper and asked if there were any routes available. "You are far too young for a paper route," the distribution manager said. "We only hire people with a license to drive because you need a car to finish our routes in time. In fact, you're pretty frickin' young for any job; why don't you build a lemonade stand or something?"

Well, that struck the little boy as an excellent idea, why hadn't he thought of that himself? He rushed home very excited and the next day he set up shop on the sidewalk in front of his house. "Lemonade 4 Sale!" his sign proudly proclaimed, in letters twelve inches high so they could be seen from the road. That afternoon, the little boy was served with a subpoena and complaint for patent infringement by the attorneys for the man who had invented the lemonade stand. Bam.
